“Having gained work experience at a recording studio at the age of 14, I instantly knew that it was what I wanted to do. At the age of 16, I opened my first DIY recording studio and started recording my own band’s music, along with some of my friends’ bands.”
Rich studied Music Technology in Bangor whilst slowly building up a name for himself as one of the best producers in North Wales.
“My clientele began to grow. I recorded several Welsh language albums and started to gain recognition throughout the Welsh music scene, which, at the time, was a growing market with a very healthy following.”
Rich has been nominated several times for ‘Producer of the Year’ at BBC Radio Cymru’s RAP Awards.
“In 2009, I decided to expand my business and had Ferlas Studio built, which was professionally designed by Studio Acoustics Ltd. Expanding my studio has allowed me to attract a wider range of clients.”
We focus on personal creative development with professional, friendly help for artists of all levels. Need some input into your song? No problem, we love working with bands to inspire the best possible performance and end product.
Recorded elsewhere but would like Ferlas to mix it? No problem. Just send us your files via disc or online. It means you get a fresh pair of ears and a different sounding room - adding a new dimension to your recordings and giving you the best possible final product
